Default need advice Please

Hello first time poster here..
Anyway I bought a PBO after reading all the reviews and I love it..
I'm just having a small problem, I have 5 TB of movies and music on my 4 HD's
I used Transcode Srever to add the folders I wanted that was fine but when I access a movie I see the name of the movie then I select it then it plays a preview of it, except sometimes the movie I select it shows that there is NO movie there, when I know there is??
Why does it do this?
Also I included a screen shot of the version I'm running I find a firmware updates a little confusing..
Anyway can someone tell me if I am running the latest or which 1 do I need to update to?
Thank U Very Much

You have the latest version of official patriot firmware on the box. You have the latest bootcode as well and can load any firmware you want on the device.

I'd recommend you look for aasoror's posts and try the makeover link in his signature and give it a whirl as has a lot more features as well as makes the system much more responsive.

A kicker about flashing firmware is to make sure you have something hooked to the composite video and when it alerts the flash is finished and then the flash drive light goes out pull the ubs flash drive and let the system boot.

If you don't pull it when the light goes out it boots and will flash the firmware again and if you pull the drive during flash you'll make it where it won't boot up and have to get a serial cable and recover the system.

If it does start flashing again just wait till it gives the notice the flash was completed and then when it reboots and the flash drive light goes out pull it then. No harm to flash it over and over as long as it isn't pulled at the wrong time.

The latest Patriot firmware version is P53 - you'll get DVD support and a couple of other minor features also -- but as scboley says - the version in aasorors makeover link will offer the most functionality

I'm curious - do you live in the US or Ca - just wondered if the most current bootcode 23 is shipping in the US yet

You might consider sharing your media over your network -- it's better than using the Transcode Server -- you can find this procedure in a forum search - or state your OS and someone will be gald to help

+1, if the file is there and UPnP transcode server isn't showing it, then its a problem with transcode server not with the file. To make sure it would run on the PBO you might want to try local access (via a USB flash or something).

Share you media over the network and access it via : Network -> Workgroup and see if the file would be visible.

The safest way is NEVER to pull out the flash drive (and never restart the box), don't worry the box will not re-initiate the firmware update (unless the first flash was unsuccessful) as a matter of fact the box might not even pickup install.img from USB (on a reboot) unless the installed firmware is messed up. Just wait untill you will get back to the setup screen (or set time/date or home menu .. depending on your firmware).

Go the the post in my the "makeover" link in my signature, all the files are there, you basically need 4318 Euro.

Hope that helps,
remember the risks involved in flashing your box (even with official firmware updates), you might want to go through networking first and see if it fixes your problem.

Ok Flashed to 4318 Euro I like the new boot screen and some of the features, but I still have the missing file issue..
I have Zack and Miri make a porno
Zombieland
Zoolander on my HD in that order, but now Zombieland is not showing up on the PBO
I also have uninstalled Transcode Server and am just using the Media Streaming in Windows 7 64bit thru Media Player for selecting all the files I want to have access to??
