For 6 months computer worked great, after that time the problems starts to occur. Computer get freezes in diffrent moments (sometimes blue screen appeared) and get reset, sometimes it didn't want to start up (it only get reset all over again). I send it to service, they said that memory was broken and repaired it, so they send me it back. But it turns out that problem hasn't been solved it starts to blue screen on me again. I phoned them and they said they everything is alright becouse they checked it(they put the right timings and everything was alright, and it is my fault). After few blue screens timings reseted to default but computer is still broken.

They said in service that if I put right timings on everything is alright but the problem is im newbie in computers and don't know what to do.

I don't wanna send them computer once again becouse it cost much and cheaper is to buy new memory :S

Can you please show me on screens what timings should be alright?

I originall bought the PDC34G1600LLK DDR 1600MHZ 4GB for my 790i Ultra SLI. Couldnt get the memory to run at 1600 frequency with the specified configuration. but ultimately they seemed reliable for a few years. Then out of no where, with no changes of any kind, system started randomly crashing and BSOD when running certain applications such as Nero, or playing certain games. So i ran memtest and an epic fail. So i then buy another set of Patriot Memory because i believe in the brand so i move up to the Viper series PVS34G1600LLK DDR3 1600MHZ 4GB. Ran ok for the last few months and now i am crashing again with the specified default configurations no OC'ing of any kind. Ran memtest and again identified issues. Not sure if now i need to switch brands because i support the name its just frustrating.

Bios has been updated and, switched out mobo with another 790 board to check the mem slots for any defects. Pretty much stuck at this point.

First I want to say Hi to everyone on this board. This is my first post and I have a question as to whether I picked the right RAM for my build. I have an Asus Crosshair IV Formula with a 1090T and I am using Sector 5 4GB (2x2GB) PVV34G1600LLKB which, I found out after I bought it, is best for Intel P55. I have the RAM set at 8-8-8-24 1600MHz, 1T @ 1.65V in the BIOS and I have never had any problems. I have run Memtest and also I ran the Blend test in Prime for over 3 hours and I have had no errors. This is with the 1090T running at stock settings. Everything seems stable so far and I was wondering if this RAM is still going to affect the performance of the 1090T in a bad way since it is really meant for P55. I want to get the best performance out of my new build. Like I said though I don't have any problems and everything seems fine. I just want to know if I made a bad choice...I hope I didn't as I don't think I can return the RAM to Micro Center now that I have used it. Thanks in advance for your responses.

ASUS P6T
CORE I7 920
750W PowerSupply by SevenTeam
and i have a set of PVT36G1600LLK 3x2GB...

These days i was running thro some BlueScreens on windows 7 64 bits...

The memory modules were running at bios stock (1066), so i managed to test each stick at a time in the first slot at my mobo using memtest v4.10...

i put memtest to run only test 5...

One of my sticks gave me more tham 2000 errors after like 8 minutes....
And the other 2 seems to be ok, since i run like 40 minutes with them and no errors (even putting them to run at XMP settings, no errors...)

So i think i have one faulty stick =/
I Bought that set of memory in january this year, and i want to RMA it, but i live in Brazil... Can i RMA it? also, what do i need to send to Patriot if its possible? only the 3 sticks? i also have that little manual that come with them...

thanks

I've been looking at purchasing some memory from Patriot. I've been eyeing a deal for the Patriot PGV34G1333ELK Sector 5 4GB 1333MHz dual channel sticks. However, I was curious whether or not this specific memory works with an AMD computer. It says in the description that it"...expands your gaming options for the Intel 5 Platform."

Is there anything wrong with getting these for an AMD machine?

Thanks in advance!

Hello all. 1st post here & 1st patriot product I've purchased (normaly buy OCZ ram). :)

Anyways I just upgraded to the motherboard in my sig. & your line of PGV38G1333ELK ram. And I'm well aware the kits supost to be for Intel systems.

Now what I say is interesting is somehow in my bios the ram insted of it running 1333 9-9-9-24 @ 1.65v is actualy running it at those spec's BUT @ 1.5v's. I also have the memory's speed set by the divider 16:10 in the bios to run at that speed.

Now IF I tell the bios to run the ram @ the sugested 1.65v's as it specifies the system gives a bios overclock warning & has to be reset. Any clue why that might be goin on & also is there any way I can get lower timings on this ram ??

thanks :)

hey guys, when i first set up my computer and overclocked it, it works fine for like 2 months.
heres my OC setup that time :
i7 860 @ 3.2Ghz
PGV34G1600ELK @ 1600mhz, 9-9-9-24 timing, 1.64v
everything was flawless for 2 months without any BSOD or freezing/crashing.

and after a while i experienced random freezing without BSOD especially when watching flash movies online. and since then, i get plenty of it. :( and because of that, i just went back to my defaults settings in BIOS, without anything overclocked. and from what i noticed, with this default settings i never experienced freezing/crashes nor BSOD. tho i prefered it overclock. :(
heres my default setup right now :
i7 860 @ 2.8Ghz
PGV34G1600ELK @ 1066mhz, 7-7-7-20 timing, 1.54v

now im thinking what went wrong since the first time it freezes. i really dont have any idea. any help will be appreciated.

im thinking of overclocking my i7 860 to 3.33Ghz (20x) / PGV34G1600ELK @ 1333mhz (8x) / Base Clock Multiplier @ 165x , but the problem is i dont know whats the best setup for my DRAM timings and voltage if i set it to that settings.
maybe i should not, i dont wanna experience freezing anymore. :(

Good morning everyone. I am currently having issues setting my memory to 1066MHZ and 5-5-5-15 timings. I am not sure why... But when I play any game, I would freeze for a quick second with a black screen or just freeze and then I start getting graphical errors. But when my memory is at 800MHZ 4-4-4-12 it runs perfectly smooth. No problems what so ever. So I have been speaking with a Patriot Memory technician I've been getting great help. But I just wanted to see what anyone else has to say here. The last thing recommended was to change my Northbridge voltage to 1.4-1.45. I was warned it would be overclocking and to be honest, I don't really want to overclock since all my parts are lifetime warranty and I don't want to void that. So my question is... If i were to keep my memory at 800MHZ, what is the lowest timings I could possibly achieve so my computer is fast and stable? Hopefully something besides 4-4-4-12... Thanks again everyone for taking a look at my thread and have a wonderful Friday.

Hi,
I have a pair of PDC24G6400ELK.

I built two computers, but will focus on the one I am trying to figure out first.

MOBO: BIOSTAR MCP6P M2+
CPU: AMD Sempron 140

The computer worked as described above for a few weeks. One morning, it would not boot. I did all the common troubleshooting, new PSU, remove RAM, add RAM one at a time, take mobo out of the case and build it on a test bench, etc. I replaced the Patriot RAM with a stick of Corsair CM2X2048-8500-C5C, and the computer booted up properly. When I insert either of the Patriot sticks, the computer will turn on, CPU fan spins, mouse laser lights, but keyboard is dead, monitor will not come on, and not other activity. I don't believe the hard drive spins up, but am not sure.

Replace Patriot sticks with Corsair and it works.

Any idea what is going on?

For a preview of my next problem, the Intel system (BIOSTAR P4M900-M4, P4 2.8 SL6WT)worked for a week, but one morning just quit. I RMA'd the mobo, but they said it was fine. I am going to rebuild that one next, and hope that it is the Patriot RAM causing the problem, because I have done all other troubleshooting too.

Is my Patriot RAM dead? I actually built the AMD system after the Intel system dies because I needed a guest computer fast. The RAM worked in that one for a few weeks, but died as noted in the first part of my post.

Thanks,

Wanting to know what speed you have gotten your system stable. Wanting to get my 965 BE CPU to around 4ghz with that kit if possible, but reading where is is much easier to get a 2x2 4gb kit to overclock.
Your CPU, ram, NB, MB and voltages would be appreciated
