Well i bought a ssd drive a few days ago a patriot zypher 128 gig at the time i had a asus rampage 2 extreme motherboard drive ran fine for about an hour and wouldnt work after that so i had ordered a asus rampage 3 extreme wich i got today rebuild my comp threw in a new ssd everything worked great for about an hour now i have a problem getting the drive to show in the bios. If i connect the drive it shows and runs fine but as soon as i restart my computer the drive doesnt show anymore in the bios. I figured ok ill test to see if its my new rampage so i took my old 1tb seagate sata 2 drive and installed windows on it no problems once so ever so im abit stumped. I went to my supplier he gave another ssd drive to try same type and model worked for about an hour and started doing the same thing as the other ssd drive.

Ive tried running the ssd on sata 3 sata 2 achi and ide mode and still same problem if i unplug the drive and pluig it back in and power the computer again it shows the drive and works fine till i restart my computer again and the drive doesnt show anymore in bios therefore doesnt work.

Hello,

yesterday my laptop didnt boot - ssd fault. It shows SATATEST drive with 0MB capacity in BIOS. It was with firmware v3.000 which worked pretty fine about five months everyday office work. So I tried to flash it with v3.005 via Hirens Boot CD and my drive is now working but its name is SATATEST. Is it possible to rename it back to Patriot SSD?

Thanks for your help,
It now has a red led inside the case i can see if I look where the power dongle is plugged in. I sent an email to customer support but I wanted to see if anyone else has seen this? Is there a fix or is the drive dead already?

So I just got my 120gb Inferno yesterday. Damn thing is wicked fast. Everything worked great yesterday.

This morning, i turned on my comp and it said i was using about double the space i thought i was. If i click on properties from My Computer is says the drive is using 46gb, but if I go into the drive and highlight all including hidden folders, it only says 23gb.

Has any one run into this problem? I've checked to see that TRIM is enabled.

Any ideas would be great....

I am running the Intel RST 9.6 drivers with Win7 x64 Pro on a XEON X5650

2. Is there information already out that I can refer to?

Hi all,

I have been patiently awaiting the release of the 3.004 firmware. I held off on upgrading to the 3.000 firmware due to all of the issues that I have been reading about.

I have a Gigabyte 790FXT-UD5P motherboard. The motherboard has two SATA controllers, a Gigabyte controller and an AMD controller. I have a RAID 10 array set up on the AMD controller and would rather not mess with that configuration. My PS-100 is set up on the Gigabyte controller. I set the BIOS to IDE for the upgrade process.

I made a BartPE bootable USB drive. The firmware upgrade tool recognizes the PS-100 and says that the current firmware is 2.009. When I press UPGRADE I immediately get the following error in Red:

AP-Key is NOT enabled on the DEVICE

I tried another SATA port with the same result. As well, I've downloaded and tried FW2.008 and FW3.000 with exactly the same result.

Anyone have this issue? Any ideas?

I just received my replacement Inferno 120 gb for my 128 gb Torqx. I have not been able to find any reviews on this drive. Is this a totally new one? I was emailed that I would receive the 120 gb Inferno. I am in no way knocking Patriot for sending me a different drive as long as it performs the same or better than the last one. Other than the capacity are there any other differences between the 100 gb and 120 gb Inferno drives?

Then come up as error. nomatter where I plugged in the ssd to a port same thing, Unpluged ssd from computer all is find till it knows no OS is installed. So I just RMA this drive, I have a boot cd with HD3.3 on it now, but I already RMA my drive. OK when I get the replacement should I run erase 3.3 on it before the install of win 7?

Patriot have a responsibility to pass on any updates produced by sandforce to the end user by not doing so is just outright negligence
